Designed sometime between 2009 and 2013. I’ve used it several times as a horizontal rule, like the HTML <hr> tag, to separate sections on my personal website projects. This was my favorite Photoshop animation effect; a combination of a random gradient (no diffusion) with a solid 1-pixel separation between colours, looped by adjusting the hue at fixed intervals.

The next image is slightly related, it uses the same effect. I don’t remember why I created this animation, it’s probably from some abandoned project I was working on.
